I hope this Fun Friday Video gives you a good chuckle – the guy in the Sunbeam Commercial is just the picture of health and vitality (NOT!). It’s truly a wonder that anyone purchased Sunbeam bread after viewing this commercial.

I’ve also included a vintage propaganda ad from 1942 espousing the benefits of bread. It may have helped win World War II but it certainly didn’t help to win the war on obesity.

Just remember – whether you’re a nurse or a housewife, an office worker or a riveter – this is no time to go easy on basic food like bread. See that your family has an extra loaf every day or two.
